An Ending

I haven't been very good at keeping a record of my dreams; the whole purpose of this blog was to write down every dream I had, but even downloading Dreamboard  has proved pointless (no fault of theirs), because when I awake, I am either too tired to start documenting or have to get ready for work with no time to spare. So it all falls by the wayside. In fairness, I also thought I had deleted this blog!! However, as I am sitting here trying to distract myself from thoughts of tonight's performance  and how/if I am going to find another job, I thought I would make a note of a dream I had quite a few years ago, possibly around the time I was going to Uni from 2010.  It is a dream that disturbed me at the time and, although I have never had the dream repeat, it has haunted me ever since. It was quite short and the first thing I remember is being on the deck of a Navy ship.  The skies were clear, the sea calm and the temperature warm.  There were perhaps around a dozen or so

Ugly Duckling

Okay, since my last post I have had a couple of disturbing dreams that I think it would be best I didn't mention: some dreams are best left to fade away! Instead, I'll talk about last night's semi-cute dream. I'm not sure where I was, but there were two ducklings in dire straights, having apparently lost their mother and siblings on a nearby road, running around the edge of a car park which was just the other side of a hillock that came up from the road. To prevent them going back into the road, my friend and I tried to get between them, but one of the ducklings apparently came to a sticky end whilst the other decided it was going to fly away (I'm not entirely sure how, as it's not a strong skill when they're effectively a fuzzy, soft toy).  However, physics got the better of it and it came crashing down into the road on it's back, at which point I managed to pick it up before the next car came along, its white chest and belly damp from the rain a

Restless

Since I'm starting to record my dreams - assuming I can actually remember them - I figured it would be worth trying out the Sleep as Android app that was recently released, to try and better understand my sleep cycles. The one thing I have learned is that after three nights of weird and vivid dreams (the last of which was posted about here ), every night since has been deathly quiet on the dream front with no memories of dreaming - though I'm pretty sure I have - which seems to coincide with something of a restless night. I guess having so many restless nights could explain why I'm tired all day long. It might also explain the moment of deja vu I just had reading the preview of this post!

Start With A Bang

Over the years, I've had some pretty vivid dreams that have left me a little uneasy when I've woken up, some of which have stayed with me ... especially the ones that involve warfare.  As such, I figured it was about time I started to record some of this stuff; my main blog is already full of enough crap without bunging it up further with the kind of stuff that would make folk think I was off my tits on something, hence this new rambling realm to record it all in. So, to kick things off, the first dream I'm going to post about is a short-and-sweet one from a couple of nights ago...
